Is Life Threatening Prostate Cancer on the Rise?

A new study has just been released that shows new cases of advanced prostate cancer in the United States have skyrocketed 72% in the past decade. That’s according to the lead researcher, Dr. Edward Schaeffer, Chair of Urology at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. The report was published July 19th in the journalProstate Cancer and Prostatic Diseases.

The biggest increase was among men aged 55 to 69, with a 92% jump seen over 10 years.
