Compound in Celery Found to Destroy 86% of Lung Cancer Cells

A recent study has shown celery to kill up to 86% of human lung cancer cells (NCI-H460) in vitro, by inducing programmed cell death (apoptosis). Apigenin is well known as a powerful anti-cancer compound and has been shown in other studies to kill many other types of cancer including breast, prostate, pancreatic and ovarian cancers.
