Diabetes Rates on the Rise Amongst Older Adults

The U.S. Preventative Services Task Force has issued a statement revealing spikes in type 2 diabetes amongst adults over the age of 45. Researchers are calling on individuals within this age group to take preventative screening measures early and adjust their eating habits to reduce the risk of developing diabetes. Increased rates of adult obesity and type 2 diabetes seem to go hand in hand.
