Is Your Toothpaste Giving You Cancer?

One of world’s most used toothpastes, Colgate Total, has recently been linked to cancer and many other health risks. A chemical called triclosan – also found in many deodorants, cleansers, laundry detergents, antiseptics for wounds, and hand sanitizers – is added to Colgate toothpaste for its antibacterial, anti-fungal, and preservative properties. Colgate adds it to their toothpaste to stave off gum diseases and tooth decay.
