Why Natural Bodybuilders Follow IF (and You Should, Too)

Intermittent fasting (or IF) is nothing new in the world of natural bodybuilding, but it’s a buzzword that’s picking up steam faster than you can say Paleo pizza. There are many approaches to IF, but two of the most common is 16/8 and 20/4. This basically means the “windows” of eating and fasting. For example, a 16/8 IF regimen includes 16 hours of fasting and eight hours of “feeding” in a 24-hour period. You allow yourself to eat whole foods rich in protein during those eight hours, and otherwise fast (water, sugar-free BCAA powder, and tea/black coffee is okay).
